In the 20th manga volume, Arakawa announced that a second Fullmetal Alchemist anime television series is currently being produced. Earlier speculation from a purported document leak has Bones again acting as the production company and Yasuhiro Irie is announced to be series director. The title series is expected to premier in April 2009 with the same name as the previous series Source Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullmetal_Alchemist)

If it is movie ending, I could see something like alchemy coming to the other world or someone finding a way to summon the elrics because of a new great war or something.

I just watched the movie again because I was so excited for the new season... what if the alchemy-world was able to get ideas and learn to build planes from the other realm?

i think the new season would have the alchemy-world will be more futuristic or more like modern day with all new advances like the cars and electronics with alchemy as a dead practice. Then 2 alchemists come up and save the world from this ultimate evil that can be stopped with weapons so alchemy saves the world. idk just a random thought of what it could be. im probably completely wrong tho :p

Pretty confused as to how there's a new season coming up. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited, as it is the best anime I've ever seen.

But....nearly all issues were resolved. The whole series was more or less about the brothers getting back what they lost. They accomplished that. Now they're powerless What's left? Have to be more creative than just simply introducing a new powerful alchemist.

Just the last Story Arc. idk how to consider the OVA
