GT sucked ass, so I'll be referring to the DB-DBZ period Goku.

- Goku could just destroy the planet and Instant Transmission away before the planet explodes.

- Goku is faster

- If you remember, at the start of Dragonball, Bulma shot Goku and it didn't kill him.

- Goku was able to stop all of Trunks' sword attacks using a finger.

- Goku has the Z fighters to back him up.

- Fusion?

- Goku was featured in an issue of Wizard magazine which he was matched up in a hypothetical battle against Superman; Goku defeated Superman by transforming into a Super Saiyajinn and overpowering him with the Kamehameha.

-In a survey conducted by Oricon in 2007 between 1,000 people, Goku ranked first place as the "Strongest Manga character of all time. Also note that Devil May Cry is also in Manga form.

So, yeah. Goku wins.

I'd have to say goku. Dante doesn't really need five episodes to gain the strength/power/attack to beat someone. his moves are fast and bloddy.

I know goku has the strength but since the series is drawn out so much with intense fights i'd think this fight wouldn't be different. Plus dante has a sword.....that just makes him seem more badass to me.

Ugh the thing to think about is if Dante's guns fire regular bullets or some supernatural bullets that could pierce Goku's skin... If so I would go with Dante, if not I guess Goku.

Titles aside. I think the only thing that can beat Goku would be Gurren Lagaan. That mecha is as big as a freakin universe..

Note, I never mentioned that. From a perspective of fighting though, if Goku could stop all of Trunks' sword slashes with one finger and Dragonball Goku got up again after being shot, chances are, Goku clearly has the upper hand.

Also I'm talking DBZ Goku. I didn't like GT.

They are magical, thus they are not a normal sword. A normal sword obviously cannot pierce his skin, BUT, perhaps, a magical sword could pierce his skin.

And then he also has his own super-human strength behind his blows that may or may not be stronger than a particular pink-haired fellow's.

So like... in my opinion it would all depend on which Goku we are speaking of... Dragonball then maybe Dante could win, because if his weapons were able to pierce Goku's skin because of their powers then he would have a chance... but then again Goku took out an entire army as a kid soooo... I dunoo.

Now Z Goku on the other hand... is a completely different story. Dante would not have a chance at all. If Goku was even the strength he was on Namek Dante would not even be able to track Goku's movements. When Goku fought against the Ginyu force on Namek not even Burter, who had been previously the fastest shown character, couldn't track Goku's movements at all. Now if we go to like the Cell or Buu sagas... then he is even more overpowered. So even if Dante's attacks could end up hurting Goku, he wouldn't have a chance of hitting him.
