Deathnote Movies! What'd you think of em'?

Just curious, but did anyone see the 3 Deathnote movies? If you did, tell me what you thought of them(Good or Bad).

I was kind of angry that near wasn't the one that caught Light. On the bright side L caught him, but he still died. I'm not as big with the movies as I am the anime though.

Yeah there were 3 live action movies. Deathnote, Deathnote Last Name, and L Change the World.

If you haven't read the manga of DeathNote or watched the anime then do that first. THEN watch the movies.

I actually haven't been able to get ahold of one without paying for it, if anyone knows a site I could watch it from without having to pay (oh dear, I'm a bad person. :-/) that'd be cool. :D

I personally liked the first two, haven't seen the third one. I haven't really been able to get into the manga or anime enough to actually go through them but the movies were just short and sweet enough to keep my attention held. The acting was fairly brilliant and Ryuk was great.

Plus they were the only Japanese movies in Taiwan that had English subtitles as well as Chinese...

I liked em though the lady who played Misa wasent good enough. The cast looked perfect for the roles, except Misa XP she screws everything up, even here live action self.

Read The manga first, watched the anime, and then watched the movies.

I'm just curious to what people thought of the movies. I didn't like them as much as the manga and anime.

Personally I have only seen the first movie and I didn't like it as much as the Anime... but I thought they did a decent job. One thing in particular I didn't like was how they had Lights dad figure afew things out that L noticed in the anime and manga, like the Shinigami's like to eat apples! But something I liked more was how they set it up for the next movie by having L and Lights first meeting happen right at the end there.

Every Movie was pretty good. Was an okay summary of the whole series.
