Sorry for the confusing title.
It seems that when pages are deleted, they are not removed from the count of the total number of images in that gallery. So, when clicking "Next image", you can get a 404-like error.
This also happens when you use "Last image". Some galleries have dozens of non-existant images at the end, like http://www.aerisdies.com/cats/cat5p18.html. (Note that of the 50 images it should have, it has 40, and the next page with a claimed 33 has none)
I haven't tried this in the dynamic pages, but I'm guessing it works there.
