yes i know that technicly it's not a true anime but it's way better than your standard cartoon.
anyway the last episodes finally aired here on nick-toons and i have to say it ended really well. i was quite satisfied whith the ending. well other than it being over that is.
anyone else follow ang and his gang?
oh hey check this out. there is a live action avater movie in the works. they are currently interviewing to find all the characters as well as building sets. the director is going to be "m knight shamalan. or however you spell his name.

I liked it overall but i never got into it
neither had the time nor the want to really watch it
If i found it on the internet I'd watch it but not on T.V.
Interesting Ideas and Fighting styles but the whole "Kid is the savior or the universe shtick" annoys me

I really enjoyed Avatar and I thought the ending was far above average in cartoon land. I didn't care much for the giant lion-turtle more or less telling Ang that he was being deceived by his former lives and they tried a little too hard to make Zuko into an enemy half the time but those are about the only things that bothered me.
By the way, did you know that Viacom is in a multi-million dollar lawsuit against google's YouTube over things like Avatar being made free online? Rather ignorant to expect anything information related to be untouched in the information age but I guess we can count this as a great victory for the revolution if google wins. :D

yeah I watch the avatar series, it was a good ending, but do u guys think theres gonna be a new spin-off of the show with zuko especially what happend in the ending when he asked (not gonna say what due to spoilers) a certain question? Anyway I liked the series and yea I knew the director for the 6th sense and signs is writting the story and all that, hopefully he doesnt mess it up.

I think there will be a spinoff or a sequel. The show was too good not to get one. There are still questions and dillemas to be solved. Plus there can never be enough Sokka, Toph or Iroh.

Loved the art style, couldn't handle the storyline. :/
But really, western animation is still animation.

i think the lion turtle was saying there is another way to do things other than what his former lives knew of. thus the advice they gave him was missleading.

do i think there will be a spinoff? simply no. it ended whith everyone being to close knit of a group not to have them all together. sequels in the form of movies to solve things like zuko's problem yea. well at least i hope so.

I love The Avatar but they left us hanging at the end of the movie when Zuko asks where his mom is to his dad he threw in jail. I also don`t know what happen to his siter who went Ravin` mad and was chained to somewhere xD
I think they may continue it, i`m unsure but I hope it doesn`t get slaughtered : /

I wonder of Shamalan will do his average "WOW I DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING" shtick and how it would look if he did...
Maybe Aang will turn out to be the angry self loathing spirit of the earth and he's going to bend the whole world into the sun. Or Saka is an angry murderous tree. He seems to be on an eco jaunt at the moment.
How do you guys think he'll treat the next leg of the Avatar series?

i loved it when asula spazzed out when she was chained to that metal grate. just flopping about shooting her blue fire out her mouth. not to mention the animaters sure did a good job makeing her look crazy.
i don't think ther will be a new series but hopefully some spcials in the form of movies. one for finding zuko's mom. and i would like to see them do one finding a secret air temple where there are air benders who survived the fire nation attack. that way there would be true balance in the world. well there world anyway.

Even with a few bumps here and there in terms of struggling to make my enthusiasm keep up with the show, it was all worth it. I love Avatar. I really thought Katara will use blood bending in the final 4 episodes. But the logic brewing in the sequences leading to the battle in the Fire Nation during the day of Sozin's Comet's arrival made me understand why they probably didn't let her do so. At least, we get to so a bit of metal bending and the Order of the White Lotus kicking some booties to liberate Ba Sing Se from the Fire Nation. Hehe, I was kind of impressed when Aang resorted to a non-lethal way of defeating Ozai (who I still can't believe is voice-dubbed by the great Luke Skywalker XDDD). Ahh... good times... I think. xPPP

lol fire lord skywalker. that is too wierd. katara did blood bend once when she went to find the man who killed her mother. it was the wrong guy but she bent him good. man was she pissed. even had zuko thinking wtf. the reasone she didn't in the final movie was that there was no full moon. she can only blood bend when the moon is full.

So, logic remains in the series, doesn't it? :p Katara is one of the source of where I get inspiration to one of my RP characters that uses frost and water. So hurrah for the uber cool water bending gal! d^-^b

I saw the Last episode too. I think it was a good show overall but the ending kind of dissapointed me. They could have added something more to the ending in my opinion? I'm the kind of guy that likes to see what happens in the distant future, maybe the possibility of a spin-off? XD
kagomelover

idk about spinoffs. that suggest a show revolving around just one of the charactures.
i'd rather see periodic movies with all of them.

Well, then wouldn't that just be a filler? XD
kagomelover
08-03-2008, 01:06:19 AM
no not really. you want to know what happens in the future right. so what if they made a 2hr special of everyone helping zuko find his mom. you would regard this as filler? and at the end of that special there was a hint for some other adventure and then another special for that and so on. i'd watch them.

oh well when you say that, then yes XD I do want to see them looking for his mom. Lol I almost forgot hat part happened =P Looks like he will NEVA find his long lost mummy @.@

true. but then thats why i'm hopeing for some movies from time to time.
also when you think about it what other reason would they (the writters) even have zuko mention it. pretty mutch no reason for it. the end of the movie would have ben just the same whithout it except maybe a little more finale.thats why i think there will be more comming.

Its not over. if you look at the last episode, you see the Zuko went to the prison where his father is held and asked where his mother is. Its not over just yet. I also heard a rumor that they are starting a fourth season. Though its only going to be a few episodes.
