Animethon & other cons

I'm going to Animethon up in Edmonton on the second weekend of August.

It's my first real animecon (we have an annual one here but it, quite frankly, sucks). Any suggestions on an easy cosplay?

What kind of crap do you go to animecons for (or why do you avoid them?)

i only visit one con... not as we would have that many quality ones over here in germany... and i am going there to... be one of the idiots helping for free.. in fact even paying the entrance and all to be allowed to help organising and making it fun for the regular guests ^^;

only problem is they ship from Hong Kong so it takes a while
