So, did they really kill Ed & Al off? Or is my friend just pulling my leg? How could they end aq show as good as this?

They didn't "die" per se, but they did go to the other side of the gate, which would be our world. It's kinda weird, and as much as I respect Bones studio, they really fucked the ending up.

After the anime, there is a conclusive film " the conqueror of shamba " an OAV that begin exactly where the anime end...

I own this and still see the ending as fucked up. The manga is better, though still weird. I don't see a good ending for the manga in the near future.

they should have just made the show longer, i hate how they pre determine how long a show is gonna go on for... on that note i also wish cowboy bebop had some new episodes
